🌟 Synopsis

This book takes readers on a deep and exciting exploration of privacy, data protection, and artificial intelligence, intertwining history, current events, and prospects. It starts with the origins of confidentiality, crossing eras and cultural transformations, and continues to the current global regulatory system, focusing on the GDPR. It then analyzes privacy in everyday life, not only as control over personal data but also as a psychological and emotional dimension, marked by the paradox of sharing and growing vulnerability. The book’s heart is the interaction between AI and privacy, explored in light of the European AI Act and emerging challenges: emotions, digital identities, digital twins, neuro rights, and quantum privacy. Ample space is devoted to Large Language Models, bias, hallucinations, cybersecurity, and technical standardization. The analysis extends to the legal and justice sectors, offering concrete application scenarios. In the concluding chapter, the author proposes a multi-level methodological approach to understanding AI, reflects on shared responsibilities, and outlines an ethical, human, and sustainable vision of innovation. This work offers essential insights for navigating the digital age with awareness.
